當各位裝好 xoops 2.5 ，並裝好x-forum後，post 了帖子 點看論壇後，會在網站頂部打出下列一行錯誤碼：
Deprecated: Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated in /var/www/XXXX...x-forum/viewforum.php on line 130
到點看帖子內容，在網站頂部打出下列一行錯誤碼：
Deprecated: Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated in /var/www/XXXX....x-froum/viewtopic.php on line 587。
皆因自己 server 或 hosting 公司安裝了 php 5.3 以上版本所致。
要修復以上錯誤，隨路徑找出 viewforum.php 用 pspad 打開， 在第130行 =& new 部份把 & 符拿掉，儲存檔案。

再找到 x-forum 下的 viewtopic.php 用 pspad 打開 (圖3) ，在587行 同樣拿掉 & 符 (圖4)，儲存檔案，再到網站看，問題便已修復完成了。
